How to Create Channels on Discord [Mobile & Desktop]

On Mobile

1. Open Discord and select the server you want to organize.

2. Tap the server name in the upper-left corner.

3. Tap "Settings" to access the full server settings menu.

4. Tap "Channels".

5. You’ll see a list of all voice and text channels organized by categories in your server.

6. Tap "Reorder" in the top-right corner.

7. Choose to rearrange Categories, Text Channels, or Voice Channels.

8. Long-press the six stacked dots to the right of the channel you wish to move and drag it to its new position.

9. Once done, tap "Done" in the top-right corner to save your changes.

To rearrange voice channels or categories, repeat the steps above.

On Desktop

1. Open Discord and select the server you want to organize.

2. Click and drag the channel you wish to reorder to the desired position.

That’s it! Your channels are now reorganized.

How to Create a New Channel

Adding new channels to your server is easy. Follow these steps to create a channel on either mobile or desktop.

On Mobile

1. Open Discord and select the server where you want to add a channel.

2. Tap the server name in the upper-left corner.

3. Tap "Create Channel".

4. Set the channel name and tap "Create Channel".

The new channel will appear at the top of the list. You can reorder it by following the steps outlined above.

On Desktop

1. Open Discord and select the server where you want to add a channel.

2. Click the "+" button next to the channel category name.

3. Enter the channel name and click "Create Channel".

The new channel will be added to your server and can be moved to the desired position by dragging and dropping it into place.
