How to appoint an administrator in a VKontakte community

Assigning administrators in a VKontakte community is important for the successful management and development of the group. This process can be done either through a computer or a mobile device.
To assign an administrator from your computer, follow these steps:
- Go to the group management section and open the “members” tab.
- Find the appropriate candidate and select the “assign as supervisor” option.
For a mobile device, the procedure is slightly different:
- Go to the “services” menu at the bottom of the screen.
- Open the “communities” section and select the desired group from the managed ones.
- Go to the management via the “gear” icon, open the list of members.
- Select a candidate, use the “assign” menu in options (three dots on the right) and confirm the new access level.
The system offers four main authorization levels:
- Moderator: manages content (deleting posts, managing the blacklist) and handles user submissions.
- Editor: edits and adds posts, updates group photos, communicates with users on behalf of the community.
- Administrator: in addition to the functions of editor, can appoint and remove leaders, change the name and address of the group.
- Advertiser: responsible for advertising entries only.
Additionally, managers can be given the ability to advertise on behalf of the community. When assigning employees, it is worth considering the display of contacts: it is useful to show the data of those responsible for interaction with users, while it is better to hide technical specialists to prevent confusion.
The community owner can always remove an administrator from their position or change their authority.
How working with administrators affects business performance
A sound staffing policy helps to distribute tasks, reduce workload and increase efficiency. It is important to attract employees with skills that match the community's objectives and to divide responsibilities appropriately.
Examples of role assignments:
- An editor is responsible for content, working in conjunction with moderators.
- A PR manager runs advertising campaigns, with additional specialists helping during peak periods.
- Administrators divide duties: one works with users, the second deals with the technical part.
The appointment of a duty administrator allows you to monitor the statistics of the group and the quality of work of other employees. These functions can be performed by the owner of the community, delegating authority in case of vacation or increased workload.
Rational distribution of responsibilities reduces the number of errors, improves the quality of work of each employee and increases the overall efficiency of the community due to synergy.
