How to delete a channel on RuTube

Deleting a channel on RuTube is a process that requires attention to the peculiarities of the platform. At the moment, it is impossible to completely delete a channel. However, it is possible to remove all content from the channel, which may be sufficient in case you want to clear your channel of videos, change its theme or for another reason.

Instructions for deleting content on RuTube channel

1. Log in to your RuTube account.
2. Go to the main menu and open the “Channel Settings” section.
3. Scroll down to “Delete Content”.
4. Select the option to remove all content from the channel.

• The process may take from a few minutes to a few hours depending on the volume of uploaded videos.
• After that, all content will be removed from the channel, but the channel itself will remain active and you can continue to use it in the future.

Important

• Complete deletion of a channel, as in the case of its complete closure (deleting the channel as such), is currently impossible. If you try to delete a channel through the interface, an error may occur.
• Deleting content is deleting all videos, leaving the channel itself active for future use.

Why delete content

Deleting content on RuTube may be necessary in the following cases:

• Channel reorientation: For example, if you decide to change the channel's theme and delete old videos that no longer fit the new concept.
• Closing an old channel: If you want to completely clean up your channel before launching new content by deleting all old entries.
• Removal at the request of the copyright holder: If content has been removed at the request of partners or copyright holders. So, while it's not possible to completely delete a channel, you can easily delete all of its videos and start with a clean slate.
