How to share a post in VKontakte

Share on your wall

Open the post you want to repost. Click the “Share” button below the post. Choose whether you want to share the entry on your wall or add a comment to the repost. The entry will appear on your page.

Share in Community

If you are a group administrator, you can share the entry on behalf of the community.

Go to the desired community. Click “Share”. Choose in which section of the community (e.g. “Recordings”, “Discussions”) you want to post the repost.

Share a private message

Click the “Share” button below the entry. Select the “Send by private message” option. Enter the recipient's name or select the participants in the conversation. Click “Send.”

Share in History

Click “Share” under the entry. In the window that opens, select the “Add to Story” option. Here you can edit the story, add stickers and filters.

On behalf of group

If the publication was posted on behalf of a community, you can share it:

Click “Share” below the post. Choose whether you want to repost the post in another group or on your own page.

Add comments and tags

When you repost a post, you can add a comment or mention other users and groups by putting an @ icon in front of their name. This will result in an active link that will take you to the user or community page.

Pending Repost

In order to make a repost at a specific time, you can use the delayed posting option. To do this:

Click “Share”. In the window that opens, select “Deferred Posting” and set the date and time to post.

Restrictions

Closed and private groups: You can only repost content from such groups as private messages. If you are blacklisted by another user or community, the mention and repost option will not be available. Sharing a post is an easy way to spread interesting content and draw attention to your page or community in VKontakte.
